PLATELET-RICH-FIBRIN (PRF)

What is PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)

PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is composed of platelet cytokines, growth factors and cells obtained from an individual’s own blood. Platelets have incredible healing properties which are proven to speed up wound healing and control bleeding. The platelets in PRF contain effective, active proteins that heal and refresh the skin by releasing growth factors, and they replenish nutrients that help strengthen and rejuvenate the skin.

PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) is a more advanced and effective version of PRP (platelet-rich plasma). PRF provides the same benefits as PRP, while also releasing more growth factors over time which means that it continues working for you even after the procedure is done!

The fibrin matrix in PRF is the next step in the evolution of skin and hair restoration. PRF utilizes fibrin, the substance that helps our blood clot after a cut or other injury, to continue releasing growth factors up to 1 week after your procedure is done.

PRF is used in conjunction with microneedling to achieve your aesthetic goals for your skin. During your PRF treatment, a single blood sample is taken and spun in a centrifuge for 5 minutes to separate the platelets and white blood cells from red blood cells. The PRF is then inserted into the skin via microneedling.
